tamrac expedition 8 question

I found a used expedition 8 for sale locally for what I think is a very good price. he says it's about 5 years old, but only used a few times. I looked at the photo's I found on here, and on B&H and it looks a little different. the one for sale, on the front, where the new one has the little "wings" this has like a web netting on it. Did this pack go through many changes over the years? I always though a expedition 8 was an expedition 8 with new versions coming out with a different number. Thanks for any info!!

no one out there has an older version to tell what the differences are?

I have a newer one with wings.they are only good for batteries and cf cards or things of that size. I could do without them just make sure the lxwxh is yhe same and mine has a place for 18" laptop and tripod stras to front and legs fit in the front pocket on the bottom front

I dont think they had ex 8 five years ago.. the seller may be just calling it the 8..I would see it in person first
