Hi guys,

I have a blog I've been active on since early December. It's URL is http://wimvangestel.wordpress.com. I post some short stories to go along with a couple of pictures several times a week. It is basically just what I see and do, since I always take my camera with me.

I was wondering what comments you guys have on the content department, and, more importantly, what you think I could do to increase the hits/views. Make it more interactive? SEO it? Take up review of my equipment (which would change the whole concept, but I just want to brainstorm here) ...

What are your ideas?

Thanks guys (and by guys I obviously mean girls too!)!

SEO wise, if you have your own domain, then I suggest uploading Wordpress to your own domain. If you don't have your own domain, get one. ;)

It is the case that if you visit http://wim.vangestel.be, you end up at that blog, but the url will still say http://wimvangestel.wordpress.com ...

Looks like your blog is hosted by Wordpress, not your domain.

How do you upload Wordpress to your own domain?

I'm presuming this can be done with Blogspot, too.

I use Wordpress, so I have no idea about Blogspot. Download Wordpress here: http://wordpress.org/download/ Make sure your server supports PHP and MySQL.

I put everything in a folder called 'blog', so my blog is www.imagesinthebackcountry.com/blog
