The JPEGs I download from my G3 to my computer do not look the same on the computer as they do on the screen of the G3. The color cast is warmer on the G3 screen and is closer to what my eyes see. I've looked at the same jpeg on 3 different computers and it looks the same on all 3 monitors so it doesn't seem like a problem with a particular monitor. Does this suggest that the color profile embedded in the downloaded jpgs are incorrect?

Has anyone else seen this problem? How can I get it so that the pictures look the same on my monitor and my camera? Do I need a special .icm or .icc file for the G3?

I have a similar problem, though less with color cast than with overall image density. Something about the way the G3 displays images makes them seem much brighter on the camera than they do on my screen. I think this may have something to do with the color profile that is assigned to the images. I am primarily using JPEGs, which all get assigned the sRGB profile. I would expect there to be a color profile tailored to the camera, which would allow more accurate reproduction of the colors and luminance that the camera sees when displaying the images on my computer. Is there such a profile?

Thanks.

Such profiles do exist. E.g. see http://aboutdigicam.com/profile.html?pID=24 . You can also get profile generators which process an image of a standard colour chart taken with your camera. Of course, you would also need to have a good profile for your monitor too.
