Paul Bowen (http://www.airtoair.net) is in town shooting a mondo project for Bombardier Jets (LearJet) so I had to wander over and see if I could catch a glimpse of the master at work. Managed a few keepers myself as well:

Photo Fanny .. Modified B-25 belonging to the Planes of Fame. She gets her name due to the shooting position at the aft end where the glazing is removed for an unobstructed view of aircraft in trail.

Jay, fantastic work, as usual. I'm really digging #4. I had to google Clay Lacy. I've seen his work, but didn't know it was him.

Thanks! It was quite a suprise to see Clay saunter out and jump in the left seat suit coat and all. The man has an amazing aviation resume.
(Note the video monitor facing the pilot's seat...)

Maybe. I was kind of assuming they were doing an advertising project but they might have been shooting video/film for one thing and stills for something else. Guess we'll all know down the road a ways.

My Pleasure. I hope to meet Paul at ISAP in Vegas in March.

On needs to keep in mind that Clay Lacy was the one that shot the last video/stills of the B-70 after Joe Walker hit it with the F-104 back in June of 1966. He is a very talented pilot and businessman, he's really one of the unsung giants in modern aviation.

A combination of him and Arnold Palmer really got the entire Bizjet thing going in America.

I love Clay Lacy in One Six Right talking about taking celebrities from Hollywood to Vegas in his first Lear. You know there's 1001 stories he could tell but he's too much of a gentleman to do it. It must have been fascinating to be a flying "Limo Driver" for Sinatra, et al.

Thank You. PF is a wonderfully preserved piece of history. It's nice to see one that gets a regular workout and isn't just dying a slow death in a hangar somewhere.

Nice shots. The Mitchell is really cool.

Thanks .. and yes it is!

Beautiful work as always, Jay. Too bad there wasn't a 747 parked in the background of #4, just for fun.
