Oceanside Pier in the middle of a storm

A friend of mine convinced me to head out to the beach at around 10pm the other night during a massive storm. Well, the storm had broken, but it was extremely windy outside, which definitely had an affect on the photos. I really need a better tripod, and possibly some sandbags. Anyway, here are the photos!

All the wide shots were taken with the Tokina 11-16, the zoomed ones the 85 f/1.8

Great set. My favorites are #2 and #3 with #4 close behind. I am personally not feeling the b&w conversion on the 5th one though.

Isn't it funny how peoples favorites, don't coincide with your own. The ones I'm not completely happy with, people love, and vice-versa. Happens to me all the time.

Very cool shots.

The last time I surfed there, I was on a longboard (a huge ten foot log) and the waves wouldn't break fully, so I was one of the only ones catching waves.

We used to eat at Ruby's a lot.

Good barrels in Oceanside (and a lot of urine on the stairs from the bums).
