I need to get a decent tripod, but I don't have a huge budget (probably £100-150 max). What would you guys suggest? Ideally I'd like to have it light enough to be able to get it on planes, within a luggage allowance...
Tripods is an area of photography that i really know very little about. I just noticed that when i went to Hong Kong last summer wind was an issue, particularly when taking photos from victoria peak.

PRICE, QUALITY, WEIGHT.

You gotta pick 2 of the 3. The Manfrotto 190 series are a great start (that's what I own, I don't use tripods much) or for slightly more the 055 series can support more weight. These are aluminum tripods, average weight but good quality and price.
