Hey guys. I have owned the 300D since 2004 and began to feel the urge to upgrade early 09. I was fast out-growing the body and my hobby was dying off. An upgrade was due to get it all back in order. After a week of mental torture I went with the 50D and ultimately the 24-70 2.8, (which compliments my 5 year old tried-and-true 70-200 2.8 perfectly), though for a while I was hung up on Canon's 17-55 2.8 IS. UPS arrived Tuesday and have been giving it a good workout since. I am very pleased with the results but I would love to show you all my first two uploads.

I'm not entirely sure where to post this, or what to call it for that matter, and I didn't really want a full "critique" down below, so my apologies for that. Feel free to comment as much as you'd like, however!

I'm not sure if you folks can read the Exif data. For some reason, on certain photos, flickr isn't showing the exif data link, oh well. Thanks for listening. Oh, and please let me know if the sizes are ok.

Cheers!

1. This photo was sloppy, but I think with a little PS it turned out well:

2. This photo is more natural. There is a small crop to isolate the objects and a slight adjustment to levels and curves. Good sharpness, bad lighting:
