This car is amazing!!!! It was built by underground racing out of NC. It is a Twin Turbo with 1600+ dyno'd HP. He recently did the Texas mile at 241.7mph. My understanding is that this car is being used as a featured car in the next Grand Tourismo game. I just lucked up and got the chance to go get some shots and then one amazing ride!!!
Now I know that some of you are not fans of the HDR stuff and thats ok, but that was the look I was going for from the start, and not all were HDR

Im gonna say these photos are less than desireable to look at. Your PP is way overdone. I'm also not into your backgrounds.
Great subject though.

Very nice shots and I feel the HDR works well here.
I've seen videos of this beast. One ridiculous car! I want to see UR do the same to the new Audi R8 V10 (same drive train).
That house looks pretty nice too.

There is a time and a place for exaggerated processing, and you hit it dead on in the last photo. A great look.

Thats one amazing car! Holy moly!
I'm in the over-processed opinion. Great opportunity though!

That car is amazing, the only thing I would change is chucking the rear valance or paint it black since I'm sure it has a purpose.

FINALLY. Some HDR done properly on a proper car. Nice work.

#3 is a very nice shot. I'm on my laptop, so maybe #1, too, but I'm not sure of the body color/contrast. You've got to control the halos in some of the others.
Thanks for the video link! He needs a bit of clutch work, but it sure did move when he got it going & caught the shifts! :D

Nice shots, a bit over the top for my taste on PP but that's personal.
However ... there is something quite not right with that panning shot, especially at the rear, you have a streak behind it and the chute construction is lighter than the rest of the background ... if I would make a guess the background was seriously 'motion blur'd in PhotoShop ?

PP is rather too overdone for my taste, I'd like to see the original images as the shots look ok to me.
Any roadcar with a parachute is just nuts, I wonder how inconvenient it is to have to stuff that thing back in at every junction and set of traffic lights :D

I'm liking the HDR on these, not too over the top, but there is some noticeable haloing. I think your first shot is incredible, and that car is just insane. Now please excuse me, I must go watch that video again...

I like the older gallardo with the new LP-560 front bumper, looks fantastic and I like the shots too
Didn't understand why it had a chute until I read that it was twin turbo...*wowza*

The chute is a requirement for any car running 150+ mph at the drag strip. It also has seat harnesses and a roll cage. Like I said in the OP. I wanted the photo's to be over the top, The car is over the top, it was fitting. I understand the halo effect and I could burn those out a bit i guess. I always find it funny that when any HRD photos are posted on any board its always the photographers that don't like them. Everyone else loves them. Guess thats why photography is considered art, to each his own.
Funny how true a statement that a great photographer told me once. When he shows his work, if the good photographers love it, he will take it down. He said when the photographers love it that the general public normally will not buy that one. I think we are to busy looking at the technical aspect and not the art for which it is.

Such a true statement. The parachute was put on before the texas mile event. It was a requirement to have if you run over 200mph I think he said. Also he hasnt ever even used it. Said his brakes stopped him well enough that he did not need the chute.

Very true! But the supra in the Texas mile still went 247mph out of the trailer LOL.
PS I own a supra. ;)

Very nice, I would like the HDR a little more if it was more balanced across the whole image, but enjoyed it non the less. Thanks!

The photo op would have been wasted had the owner not liked the pics. But since the owner was happy with them I would think that it was a great shoot. Luckily for us I am friends with the owner of this car and can do a shoot just about anytime I like with it.
And 3rotor yes it is Sws supra that did that in the mile and quarter.

I too saw the Youtube video. UGR makes some great cars for sure.
I'm not too fond of the vignetting......but thats just IMO. If you and the owner are happy with it......thats what matters. ;) I've also heard this fella has a few other nasty cars in his collection.....and seems to be a pretty cool dude too.

He has I think 5 vipers,a toyota supra turbo,a supercharged C6 ZO6,the lambo gallardo and a 60s something ford mustang. Also has 3 lifted trucks.

I'm a computer geek first (programmer, mathemagician), car freak second, and amateur photographer third. The photos are great. The video is insane. WOW!
I love what you did w/ HDR on this. Generally I hate what people do with HDR, but you did this well.
