300D hacked firmware?? FEC?

Just picked up a used 300D as a backup and I am trying to install the hacked firmware. I am pretty sure it worked, because I now have ISO 3200 and some custom functions I never had before, but what I was really after was Flash Exposure Compensation & the ability to select the focus modes, both of which I thought the hack installed.
But I can't seem to find any reference to either one in the menu?? What am I missing?

Jeff.....are you trying to access servo-mode? If so, sorry doesn't function with the hack. I can't recall the FEC but maybe PM Drisley as he also had this camera and used the hack extensively. What did you pay for a used DRebel if I may ask??

I got a great deal, since it was my father-in-laws. He bought it when it first came out and was pretty much over-whelmed by it and has never used it.
So he offered it to me for him for a fair price ( free ;) ) with the understanding he can use it whenever he might want to.

PS, he likes to do this sort of thing, I have a 1987 Pontiac Fiero GT in my laneway from the same sort of deal :)

Now that is the best kind of deal. Can't you convince him to step down to a 1DMkII and then when he is overwhelmed by that thing, voila you have a 1 series body!!!:D

Well I got it all to work.
I installed the undutchables hack, and discovered that AI Servo does WORK!! You access it via the right arrow button on the back, brings up the Focus modes and you use the scroll wheel to select the focus mode you want, and I tried AI Servo and it works!
And the Jump button now controls FEC.

I was under the impression that even with the undutchables hack - you had to trip the shutter in some goofy fashion while in AI Servo - isn't that the case Toogy?

I don't have to. I just hit the right arrow button and it says AF OS in the LCD information screen, if I scroll the wheel it changes to AF AI & then AF SE. When I select AF SE, and press and hold the shutter it is focusing continously in AI Servo mode.
Seems pretty straight forward to me.

the af part don't work no matter what the lcd say. its in the pdf manual included in the undutchable.

It focuses like AI Servo, you just can't take a picture unless you press the left arrow button and that frees up the shutter.

but at least u can take the picture rite? i mean if u are fast enough to press left and fully the shutter button at the same time, the pic is taken...
