I just got my Tenba Shootout Medium Sling Bag. It was smaller than what I expected, but it holds what I need. The bag has one compartment that can be divided into two parts. Those two parts can be accessed from the top of the bag or from the side of the bag. Then there's a main flip lid on back. It is very well padded.

The zippers are really nice with a rubber material hiding the zipper teeth making it water resistant. It does come with compression straps to hold a tripod and also a completely detached weather cover which is handy for drying or leaving it back at home.

One interesting feature of this bag is you can completely gut all the dividers and you can store a DSLR with a super telephoto zoom.

Front of bag. Top compartment which can hold a DLSR with a smaller lens, when configured with two compartments. When converted to hold a single DLSR with super telephoto zoom lens, this top lid becomes your main compartment. There is a secondary compartment behind the bungee cords that can hold pens, a small notebook and other small flat items. This is also where the weather cover is.

Side view showing the side compartment, obviously. Like all sling bags, you twist the bag to your front and use this opening to grab your camera without removing the sling from your back. On the side compartment lid is small zippered pocket you can store CF cards.

Back view of bag showing the sling strap with a generous sized strap pocket which can hold a blackberry or iphone. It's a very large pocket. Directly behind the strap is the very well padded back that is actually the aerial view compartment which you can configure and view everything in the bag.

This side is where the compression straps are placed on the square plastic pieces so you can carry a monopod or tripod. The straps are included with the bag.

Side compartment opened to show you a GRIPPED 7D with 24-107L lens. You can also see a 580EX strobe peaking out of the bag.

Main lid opened to show you the aerial view of th bag. You can see how you can take all the dividers out and use it as one big bag to hold a large lens.

Everything currently in the bag: 5D Mark II with battery grip and 50mm 1.8, 7D with battery grip and 24-105L, 100mm Macro with Kenko extension tubes connected. 580EX Speedlite with sto fen diffuser, 430EX Speedlite, and finally a lens cloth =D. The reason why I got this particular bag: Never had a Tenba or a sling type bag. I also wanted a bag that can carry gripped DSLR's I don't know anyone with a Tenba so I thought having it will make me different from everyone one else =D

Nice review. VEry good for people shopping for a sling bag. Good luck with the bag. I have found the sling bags to be highly uncomfortable with any decent load of equipment. They work well for a while, but if you are out for the day, I think they will be a pain.

I also did a review on this bag - I really liked it, with a couple small improvements to it's design
