The first image is probably the strongest of the set as it fulfills the brief of the thread title and is a good b/w converison to boot.

I like the first best too but that second one with a little less shade would be awfully nice too. The tilted POV really works too. Nice job.

I think #1 is great, maybe a desaturated rather than fully B&W would be neat too, just to give it the "old photo" feel. I also really do like #3 alot!

I like the tilt and never would have done that myself. What made you decide to tilt your camera? I ask because I often have trouble with the creative aspect.

Thanks . I'm a lover of black & whites when the subject works well with it . In this case I think it does.

Thanks , Where would you like less shade ? On the right side of the house I suppose.
I give that a try.

I have some straight shots but they looked a bit boring to me. I don't know , I kinda liked the tilted look. Thanks for reply.

The first is great but I LOVE the third!

Less shade on that great red roof. On the house itself the shade seems to help the exposure.

I like them all, however, I'm going to disagree with the angle on the first. I cropped it real fast with a level horizon and it's very strong.

I dislike the tilt, myself. I prefer the 3rd shot, though with the house weren't so much in shadow.

I myself think that the third shot is the best of the bunch. Awesome composition, deep depth of field, and great exposure.
And yes, the house could be a TAD brighter.

Thanks photoguy:D Normally , if it was summer the sun would be positioned so the house would be in full view of the setting sun , but it's winter and its way out of line .lol

The first image is nice. I wish parts of the siding weren't blown out, but it's not a major flaw IMO.
I really don't like the tilt though. Tilting the frame like that tends to convey motion, and it doesn't work well with this shot at all.

I like the tilt of the B&W Image - great contrast, too; however, I do not like the tilt on the second, colored image. For the third, it feels a little plain for me, and perhaps too sharp?
Edit: the B&W conversion of the first photo is so good for me, it sort of made my mind go click on how a B&W image should look (brightness, contrast, saturation wise). So, thanks.

Thanks Lennybird for the comments.
I thought I would post a straightened version since some of you think it would be better.
I also had to add some sky on the left as I didn't have enough when cropped . I tried my best to patch in the blown out shingles . I still like the tilt .

+1, but the tilt works just as well.
