View Full Version : RemoteCapture won't turn off the beep

Hello,

I have another question and hopefully this one isn't as unpopular as my previous one.

I'm trying to shoot a time invertal series with my S30 using RemoteCapture, and it won't allow me to turn off the camera beep, i.e. it beeps whenever it takes a shot.

I tried turning it off directly from the camera menu, but RemoteCapture simply ignores it and turns it on by default (in fact, RemoteCapture seems to override *any* preset camera options).

Since I have to capture a sequence in a quiet environment, it's very crucial to keep the camera noiseless.

I have the most recent version of RemoteCapture (2.6.0), firmware (1.1.0) and the correct version of TWAIN driver (3.9.0).

Any suggestions on how to deal with this problem?

Thanks in advance!

Here's one solution, but you'd have to purchase some additional software.

Thanks a lot! This does exactly what I want (although it lets me save no more than 6 images unless I pay $25 for registration fee). In addition to beep control, it allows me to remotely control a number of other camera options that are not supported by RemoteCapture.

I wonder why Canon didn't make their software more like this one..
