I just wanted to post a few pics from one of the games I shot last week. I shot some of the half time cheer as well as a slighlty different view of a time out. Unless I othewise post, all were shot at ISO 4000, f2.8, 1/500th.

Here is the different look of a time out. I was sitting on the baseline during the time out when I looked over and decided to take the picture to see how it would turn out. I'm not quite sure how I feel about it, but I think I'm liking it. What do you think? (ISO 5000)

Nice shots. No lights and at 2.8? Did a good job. Maybe a bit more PP on them.

I used denoise on the first one as example. My 7D RAW files seem to need much more PP (especially sharpening) to perfect than my 5D.

Pretty good results.

One thing I do when shooting the girls in a group like that is to stop down the lens and reduce the shutter speed to get more of them in focus. Shooting at 2.8 or 2.0 as I do, not much is in focus when shooting a group!

Yeah I wish I was better at PP. I have just started trying different things and so far I have figured out I have a ways to go in that area.

That makes perfect sense and I don't know why I never thought of that. I guess I get too busy thinking about the action shot I don't stop to think of changing my settings when I shoot something different.

Thank you both for the comments.
