Spiders web that is.:)
Up early this morning, down by the local loch and saw 3 Red Deer Stags. Light was very poor, and had to stalk them as I was using 70-200L f4. I managed to get within about 20ft before they got skittish.
Both shots were handheld at ISO 320.
1. f9 1/50s 188mm.
2. f6.3 1/160s 200mm
Not as sharp as I would have liked, but pleasing nevertheless, particularly as it was my first attempt at stalking.
C & C welcome

Up with the larks this AM. Went out at 4.30 but light not too good. Managed to get some shots of Red Deer stags though. Only hope no one was watching me creeping through the bracken and sheep poo. Felt like David Bellamy 'cweepin' fwoo the undergwoth'!!
Great work Trevor,
All that crawling on all fours paid off in the end! Just thought I'd tweek your first image a little as it seemed a little on the soft side! Hope you don't mind! http://www.photography-on-the.net/forum/images/smilies/icon_lol.gif http://www.photography-on-the.net/forum/images/smilies/icon_lol.gif http://www.photography-on-the.net/forum/images/smilies/icon_lol.gif http://www.photography-on-the.net/forum/images/smilies/icon_wink.gif http://www.photography-on-the.net/forum/images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif

Well well, Stalking deer now Trevor.
Before you know it you'll be wearing a kilt and tossing the caber.
We'll make a Scotsman out of you yet.
Excellent shots.
20 feet, that's close.
It must be a real buzz to get that close to a wild stag.
David did a nice job sharpening the first one.
Almost looks human now.
Everybody has heard of the Loch Ness Monster but now we have the Loch Brora Wendigo.
Best regards,

If you think I'm crawling in bracken and sheep poo, surrounded by wee midgies, in a kilt, you're madder than I thought you were! (and that's saying something)
