Hi, where can I get a cheap tripod bag over the net? Looking for a reasonably priced bad for my manfrotto 055cxpro3/498rc2 combo. Thanks!

+1.
Subscribing because this interests me. I'd love to find something with one or two adjustable
straps to let me carry my 055XPROB/488RC2 easily. It need not be padded.

I have a Benro that I used when I had the 055XPROB and 488RC2. Perfect bag for that combo, imo.

If you were in Canada I would sell it to you but shipping to the US would make it too expensive. Check Ebay... they come up once in awhile, new. Inexpensive.

Can you offer anything more about it? Model/style, etc.? Much appreciated.

This is the one you want

It's lightly padded. If you want heavier padding, look elsewehere.

Bohdank, the benro looks reasonably good and priced with a shoulder pad. The think tank bazooka does not come with a shoulder pad and is pricier. Could you check if the diameter of the AC-13 is 110 or 210mm? I am getting some conflicting dimensions from the net for the AC-13. Thanks

Check out MPex.com and look at the giottos tripod bags. I have one and it is nicely padded but did not include a shoulder strap, but everyone has an extra strap around on another bag you don't use! 3 sizes to pick from.

110. I measured.

The Bazooka is slightly better padded but gives better protection because the outer shell is quite rigid. I have the BIG Bazooka now and it is considerably wider than the Benro but I had little choice. Feisols are quite wide and the regular Bazooka wasn't wide enough.

"Cheap" is subjective but I just ordered this tripod bag. I don't consider it to be necessarily cheap but do think the price is reasonable and pelican seems to have great products. I am NOT the seller of these bags.....just a recent buyer. I ordered it tonight.

Why would anyone need a bag for a tripod?

Those of us who go hiking, or explore abandoned places, or even for the thrill
of being nowhere else someone shouldn't be...

Think about it:
If you're clambering into places where a tight fit is necessary,
why would you want to haul your tripod through the grit, grime,
sewage, drainoff, and even the caved-in crevices we urban
explorers ever go without some sort of protection for your
expensive tripod?

It's a very simple equation, to be sure.

If you keep your tripod aboveground & dry, at all times, you have
no reason to question methods to easily and effectively carry it
through all sorts of risky and possibly dangerous situations.
Put yourself in situations such as ours, however, and you'll
immediately see the need to carry your tripod in a protective
sheath, not to mention your main photographic gear.

And even notwithstanding all that, some of us simply wish for
a better means of carrying our tripods around with us.
Really. Is that so much for us to hope for?

I just got this bag from a kit but it's built just like my Gitzo bag, and cost about 1/3 less.

Is this padded, and any shoulder strap?

Is this padded, and any shoulder strap?

It's a clone of the Gitzo bag, lightly padded about a 1/4" all around. I would say it's enough to throw it in the trunk but not enough to check in as baggage for a flight. Strap is included, thought it wasn't but it's hidden in a internal pocket, two D rings on each end to hook into.

Overall it's a nicely built bag for the money.

It's too short for a 055 + head.
