Wondering if anyone could recommend a good small water proof or water resistant bag with a good seal that I would feel comfortable splashing?
It would be used for boating, it most likely wouldnt get splashed but there is a chance it would, I would have to fit the XSi 18-55 and the 70-200 only, not any large accessories. Thanks!

I'd really suggest looking at a small pelican case. It'll be a little bulkier than a bag, but it'll be completely waterproof, even submersible, just in case anything goes wrong.

Ortlieb does some 100% water resistant stuff. You might want to google for Ortlieb. I know some people who are using ortlieb products on their bikes. ortlieb is quite famous here in Germany for that kind of bags.

Lowepro makes a completely waterproof line. Tamrac Expedition bags are water resistant and have separate waterproof covers. All Lowepro AW (all waether) bags have a built-in waterproof cover, and there must be a half dozen different AW lines from them.

+1 on the pelican.
Not only can you get it wet without hurting your gear, you can probably drive your jeep over it too.

If it is going in a padded bag hit up somewhere like REI or a legit boating store and get a dry bag...or with a bag Pelican

A dry bag is a good idea too, one I could just stuff my crumpler bag in, I never thought of that. Im really liking the idea of those pelican cases because they are close to indestructible. Thanks for the awesome ideas!

Lowepro Dryzone Bags are waterproof. Waterproof as in "toss it into a pool" water proof =)

I have the Dryzone 100 and I am confident to walk into any weather with it =)
