Continuing Continuous Mode

I've been using my S 30 for more than a year with very satisfying results. All of a sudden, however, the camera takes three shots every time I press the shutter release unless I'm in the Auto Mode. The Rec Menu is set for single shots -- NOT Continuous or High Speed Continuous Shooting. I have never purposely set the camera to Continuous.

Has anyone else encountered this problem?

What's the solution? I want to be able to get back to using the Av and P shooting modes.

Sounds like you've got it set up to bracket exposures. In this mode, the camera takes three pictures at three different exposures.
