Zenfolio Price Increase on Feb1

I got an e-mail from Zenfolio saying that their unlimited accounts are going to go to $50.00 (US) a year for new subscribers from Feb 1.

For those who already have accounts or buy new accounts before then the price will stay at $40.00 (US).

I've been happy with them, but my account is just to store and share pics rather than any serious attempt at any sort of business.

I have a Basic account since May of last year and I've been happy with it. Haven't made any profit, which I don't intend to do anyway. Unless I find something more appealing, I'm definitely renewing once the subscription's out, but I don't imagine I'll need an Unlimited account.

I've been with Zenfolio for 3 years and had a basic account with 3GB storage. I just upgraded to unlimited because I plan to start using it as an additional backup to my external drive.

You do know that you get an extra 1GB of storage every year that you stay on the basic plan? Would that be enough for you?

For the extra $15/year on the Unlimited plan, you get the storage, custom themes, and you can use your own domain. If these things aren't important to you, you probably shouldn't upgrade. If they are important, make the upgrade before they raise the price.

Flickr is still $25 for unlimited storage if that suits your needs, and there are always ugly ad filled sites that you can use for free (Photobucket).

I didn't get an email about the price increase. Maybe because I already upgraded?
