Is there any need to install latest firmware 2.0 which just seems to be for wireless?? Have version 1.1.0 installed. Also on rechargeable batteries, is it best to store them Fully charged or discharged??? Thanks

I have the 2.0 installed (the camera arrived with it) but AFAIK there are no real reasons to upgrade. Probably someone else can help you better than me. As for the batteries, I tend to not let them fully dischagreg. Li-Ion does not have memory effects problems.

I don't think the last two (or even three) updates have had anything essential for me, but I tend to put them on unless I really need the camera in the near future. Never make changes just before you go away ... Because there's no essential fixes, that also makes it easy to wait a couple of weeks after a new release to see if anyone is reporting problems. Version 2.0.0 is well proven by now. If you later have a problem with your camera, you could then at least tell Canon that you are running the latest firmware.

As for the batteries - assuming you're talking about the 20D battery pack - this type shouldn't be fully discharged. It's bad for them.
