I would like to know how many of you pros use PaintShop Pro???

No idea. But I doubt that a pro is going to use PSP. PSP is an excellent product, btw, but IMHO it lacks the "touch" of PS. Personaly, I am not a pro, but I'm a severe PS-addicted guy.

Not a pro photographer, but pro in the graphics industry. Photoshop is more or less industry standard and the integreation with Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign (also very much Industry standard software) is so well adapted that it might cause problems with PaintShop Pro.

I Know PSP is a nice software, but I'd get Photoshop any day.

PS is the industry standard, but may be more than you need right now? An advantage is that you can get a lot of help here if you need it.
Even PSElements will give excellent results if you shoot RAW & learn how to use RSE. At this time, I see no need to upgrade to PSCS2 from PS7.
OTOH, GIMP is an excellent free program if you decide to jump ship! ;-)
