industrial is good.
also, tight crop on the car.
THis months' modified magazine (red supra on the cover) has some good shots. Watch out for trees / telephone poles in the background

Is there a howto or faq on the ins and outs of shooting cars?
It looks like I will have the opportunity to photograph a very extensive personal collection of high-performance sports cars in the not too distant future, and although I am doing it for the experience, I want to make sure I do a good job so I get a second go.

Hi, A member that goes by the user name of "Chubby Dragon" was kind enough to post a link to an article in "Popular Hot Rodding" about this very subject.
Here's a link to that article, http://popularhotrodding.com/features/0506phr_pix/index.html
I hope this helps you out.

Thanks for the links, the hot rod one especially has some excellent tips!
Oh, and now for some bad news. The Maclaren F1 has been sold, so I will not be getting any images of that. :(

Zipkicker,
I just looked up the entries ... and while there are some very nice ones, the majority looks rather ... umm ... average (example) (http://hotbodies.j-body.org/2005/entry9.htm).
If you do good, you should have some chances.
What I found a bit strange, was that there was no mention as to who won the last contests ... might give you more information on the voting criteria
- quality of photo
- quality of hotbody
- quality of j-body (degree of modifications)
I'd suggest to look at the previous entrants and see which one looks most appealing to you...
I'd say the 'peske matt teske' entries of 2003 (http://hotbodies.j-body.org/2003/entry13.html) would be the winner for me. And that is not because they show the least of the ... um ... j-body
Best regards,
Andy
