I really dig this picture. I hope you dont mind my cropping it. I liked the reflection of the tree in the water but I wasnt feeling the way the the picture sat for some reason. I like this one better. But this is just my $.02

i'd bump the contrast a bit, blacks, and attempt to recover some cloud definition in the sky.
BW landscapes are the hardest to get correct - i just find myself looking at the photo and going ok whats the subject here?
Over all it looks in focus and good exposure, keep working it.

Very nice shot and I was just about to do what Casperd did . Didn't like that clump of land. Maybe a little more contrast wouldn't hurt also. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for the feedback guys. I didn't want to crop out the reflection. The clump of land on the right side does take the eye out of the frame but I felt cropping it would put the subject too close to the edge of the frame. Hard to shoot that perfect photo. That's part fo the fun. Gotta keep looking for it :)

Uncalled for comment, your thread did not deserver such harsh words and for that, I am extremely sorry... I can not go back and fix my childish behavior; however I do feel my conscience would not be ok without extending an apology. Once again, I hope you can accept my request for forgiveness and forgive the post as it was placed in an unfavorable format.

Added the contrast too..
You're right though getting that perfect shot is the reason we take hundreds and end up with a small percentage of what we take as keepers. lol

Thanks Casperd360. I agree about the contrast. It seems to me that when I try to bump up the contrast I lose detail in the highlights and shadows even when I use Curves. I could be doing something wrong. I like what you did with it. Thanks.

No problem... I have a love for b&w photos. I have a few psd files that I have tweaked and some that were given to me, that I can just drag the layers onto other photos and they usually do the trick for me.
