I haven't been quite able to figure that out myself! I looked up drawings of Fin Whales, and I think the eye is a little further back. We should ask Mindy, our resident Whale expert!

Hi Becca!

I just found this thread. Unfortunately, the whale's eye isn't in this photo. The eye would be located a little further down where the white part of the jaw curves downward. I've been trying to get the whale's eyes in my photos since I started whale watching and I've only been successful a few times... all shots are of a Humpback Whale.

Airedale, I went out of Rye, NH. We were out past the Isles of Shoals when we saw this guy.
