You did a great job with the post processing. I think the subject is too centered in the frame and the vignette is too strong IMHO.

Thanks. I agree with the vignetting but the horizontal centering of the tree works for me. Any other crop just looks wrong! :)

Great shot. I actually like the idea of the vignette as it sort of gives the sense that the tree is radiating light, however I just think the light -> dark transition is a bit too abrupt.

Thanks. That was the idea exactly but the vignette was just too much. So with the vignette lessened:

I quickly tried my hand at this, hope you don't mind. I tried to reduce the vignetting in the foreground without affecting the sky..

edit: Oh I just saw that you did the same :D. I think the foreground looks identical in both edits, the only difference being the sky (I only changed the contrast locally). Your edit actually brings the sky out more, so I guess it becomes a personal preference as to whether you want to keep the lighter part of the sky confined to the area around the tree or have it more extended.

Love the shot, I would remove the distracting posts / fence behind the tree to make it look more nature and less rural.

Cheers, and fair point but it'd be too difficult to do!
