I haven't a clue as to what this bird is, but I thought I'd post the image anyway for 2 reasons:

1. to find out what kind of bird it is.

2. to show off the 70-300 DO lens :)

Eastern Tennessee, huh? It might be one of those redneck birds.

Actually, it looks pretty close to a Northern Mockingbird.

Nice shot.. yes they are bold.. and territorial.

One dive bombs (and often actually hits) my big old retriever right in the rump fairly regularly :)
