Im using a sigma 24-70f2.8 pro lens on my 20D.. I have taken many shots and just realized that the F stop that is recorded is reading f 2.1????????????????
ANYbody know why?

Well is everything underexposed? If it works, it's all good. :) That's aftermarket lenses for you.
Just call sigma up.

Well thats your gain. It sounds like a communication error between the camera and lens. I would call Sigma maybe it needs to be rechipped.

It might be some screwup in the program that you are using to read the EXIF data. There are several fields that are commonly screwed up by non-Canon software, however the aperture is commonly correct.
Try another program.

I have a 12-24 sigma lens and it sometimes (only sometimes) goes to f29 as opposed to f22(which is supposed to be the highest f stop on this lens)....it does not affect the pic....just the exif. I am using a 1DmkII.
