View Full Version : Do you want the exif data?

For historical reasons, I always ask you to provide the exif data when you submit a competition photo. Fotopic has a rather strange interface, which makes it rather a pain to upload this exif information. I don't mind doing it, but there doesn't seem much point if people don't generally use it.

My proposal is that we drop the requirement to provide exif data, but continue to allow people to submit exif if they think it is relevant (firework photos for example).
That will provide you with all the information you need, and make my life a bit easier as well.

If it makes your life easier, I do not see any reason for keeping the exif.

I don't see what relevans the exif has in a competition. It should be about the resulting photo and not the technical details.

After the contest is over if users want details about specific photos they could ask for it.
