Does anyone know what the differences are between these? I know the eye one 2 is the latest version, but is it significantly better than the original?

I thought I'd read somewhere that the 2 was better, but the reviews at http://www.drycreekphoto.com/Learn/monitor_calibration_tools.htm don't make much of it. Looks like the software is the biggest change, and you can get the update free. You could try a Google to see if anything comes up.

the eye one is about $80.00 now compared to over $200.00 for the eye one 2.

Not sure how the Eye One 1 is but I have the Eye One 2 and it's great! I upgraded to it from SpyderPro. Eye One 2 does a better job of calibrating a dual display system than the SpyderPro ever did on my system although the SpyderPro did a good job if I only had one monitor to worry about.
