Can anyone help plse
Just bought brand new Canon 50D.
Also bought a new (genuine) Transcend x133 4GB compact card, and new All in One card reader.
On taking a few pics at large setting(jpg) I find that the card is pretty quick in the camera
and no problems formatting it in the camera.
However, it is very very slow to transfer to PC (like 1 min per 6mb pic)!!!!!!!!!
I have tried older cards (sandisk Ultra 11, 2 gb) and that is both fine in the camera and
very quick to transfer to pc using same card reader.

Any suggestions what might be going on here??

I also have tried a brand new Lexar x233 speed card and that does exactly the same thing as the Transcend so i sent it back.
Lokks like it s a prob with either the reader or the camera or something else

probably just need a better reader. The faster cards require faster readers or fire wire.

hi
So what u are saying is that a x133 card can become much slower than a x80 card in the
wrong reader!!!!!

How does it manage that? I could understand if it was not quicker, but to actually become only 10% as fast sounds crazy
