The setting sun was creating dramatic shadows outside the Experience Music Project in Seattle.

I think I'd like it better if the people were not in it.

Funny how people's opinions differ so much. The fact that the people are in it makes the shot for me.

It's all good :)

I agree that the people make it interesting but I think it would look great with only one person- off centred.

Just so you know the intention of this shot. I included both subjects because they create a pattern of repetition, just like the shadows themselves. This shot was all about geometry.

Doesn't have to work for everyone but I at least want you to know the context.

I love this. I'd love to see it without the people, too. Can you clone them out and post it up?

nuffi, I don't know if you are being serious or not but of course I'm not going to modify the photograph. My vision for it is intact and organic, why would I want to digitally remove what I regard as one of the most important elements of the shot?

I'd like it more without people, but it's really a matter of taste.

Totally understand the premise, but it looks too planned for me..just me. Would have been sweet had they been walking past instead of peeking out? Then you would have had legs mimicking the slats, lots of vertical shadows.

I like it. Just like you I think the people "make" it. Without them, I wouldn't even give it a second glance. Nothing there to hold my interest.

Exactly.

My only nit pick (well two actually) is that it seems like it's tilted to the right a little, but that may be an optical illusion. And second, the purse that the lady on the left is hold is just a little distracting for me. But all-in-all I like it very much.
