I've had my 300D for about two weeks now. I'm a total newbie when it comes to photography so don't be too harsh! This photo was taken at my son's birthday party. It's my nephew taking a break from the water balloon action. It's one of the sharper shots I've managed to take.

I like this shot, which is obviously why I posted it. However, I find the hand in the background very distracting. I haven't done anything to this photo at all with regard to post processing. This is how it came out of the camera.

Welcome to the forum - it is a nice image - possibly a little over saturated for my taste but a nice candid shot.

I agree with you totally about the hand and you simply need to clone it out - using whatever software you for post processing.

I had a go with your image hope you don't mind, this only took me five minutes or so - but you need to follow the lines of the flag and also add some shadow into the area too.

PS I forgot to blur the edges of the area I cloned onto.;)

Have fun, hope to see some more of your work.

Regards

Thanks. I appreciate the time you took to respond. I look forward to the learning curve! It looks like quite a whopper.

P.S.

Lost the password for this forum - my work PC obviously didn't though! :)
