Pics from Africa! (okay it was the zoo)

Here's a few shots I got at the Porltand Zoo, I a have about two weeks experience with the Rebel XT so I have a long way to go but thought I would share a few that I thought turned out okay. I also still have to learn how to make things cooler in a photo editor so these are all stock off of the camera and resized.

Neato fountain in the bird enclosure, it was tight so I had to get it up close, I set the shutter speed for 1/2 second to get a slight blur on the fountain.

They have a butterfly exhibit going on through Labor Day, I don't have a cool enough lense (or the experience) for a great shot but I managed a couple of okay ones. Some dude showed up with a lense that looked like a civil war cannon, I felt inferior and left with my tail between my legs :mad:

Took a few inutes to frame the butterfly and give you some ideas for effects. hope you like it.

That's a beautiful zebra heliconian. Nice captures.
