Hello everybody! I will be ordering my A95 next week, so i already started looking for cool forums, and these seem to be populated with very cool people, so hopefully i'll be able to develop my photography skill with all the tips and help from you pros :)

Anyway, i would like to clear some things out. I've played with a few Canon cameras before, the A75 and A85 from a couple of friends, and i was very pleased with them, they are wonderful. So when i finally decided to buy one, the choice was simplified, it had to be Canon.

So while i was looking around, i noticed the A510 and A520, and also noticed that those are newer and cheaper cameras than the A95. I'm not very experienced, i only have some basic photography concepts, but by looking at the specs of those cameras, i couldn't understand what really made these new cameras so cheap, when compared to the A95. Also, the A520/510 are the sucessors of what camera? the A80? the A85? What place does the A95 have amongst all these cameras? And why would someone recommend the A95 instead of the A510?

I already made up my mind, my A95 will be arriving with my 512 mb CF next week, but i would really love that someone could enlighten me on these questions. :)

I believe that the A510 and 520 are a new line of cameras that are smaller and cheaper; can't vouch for the quality, though. From what I know, I think you chose wisely with the A95. My A70 still wows me with its true to life colors and general picture quality when I just point and shoot.
