View Full Version : My damn dog ate my CF card!!!

I come home and some how my dog got my cf card out of my computer and bit into it. a 16g sandisk extreme III. I put it in the camera hoping for the best and it comes up as "CHA" on the display. Think sandisk can fix it or am I SOL?

First thing I thought of was Cheech and Chongs "Up In Smoke" when I read the title. I was just gonna recommend a doggy bag :lol:.

That sucks...dogs are very unpredictable sometimes one their behavior :)
Hopefully nothing worthwhile on the card? I know those aren't cheap either....

I'd contact Sandisk just to see what they say. They would at least get a good laugh out of it. But they may be able to recover your images. A long shot, but worth taking. Would be great PR for them to say they were able to recover it. "Takes a licking -- and even a biting -- and keeps on kicking, er, ticking."
