Cindy and I went up flying around Cedar Key where we've just moved to since a local pilot gives tours for $20 per person!!

Amazing how much cooler the islands look from the air

I liked the reflection in the wing as we circled back towards the little runway

This is Atsena Otie Key where the town of Cedar Key once was till it was taken out to sea by a Hurricane in the 1800's. Now the only thing that remains is the dock, a cemetary and some ruins

Looking North all the way to Gainesville where that fire is located at the top of the image

This is our place from the air. Notice our little camper all the way on the Left with the 3 solar panels on the roof. For a size comparrison, that's a 25' camper and the one to the right of ours is a 38'

The Pilot was telling us they pull a few planes out of the water each year from larger planes trying to practice their landings with water on both sides and not gauging the length of the runway properly

Luckily, our pilot lives right on the runway, and its more or less of a hobby for him. He aint trying to get rich, you're just paying for his fuel and he likes to fly.

Yeah, for $20 a person, I'm planning on going up during a pretty sunrise, a pretty sunset, on cloudy days, sunny days....basically a few times each month just to see how it looks under different conditions:D

Thanks Tom, it's not a bad place to call home. The birding here is amazing. It's hard for me to get my never ending list of chores done when I have Osprey, Bald Eagles, too many different types of Shorebirds to count and egrets of all types feeding off that back deck you see in that last photo.

I was really into nature photography before, but something tells me I'm going to be a Bird Photographer before too long

The Gulf is pretty cold for that now. You found a great diversion with that flight. Nice images!
