Heres what i have been working on. 7 Deadly Sins. This is vanity. This one doesnt show Vanity but its part of the set that im going to add into a book thats being finalized.
Model..Liz
Location. One Stroke Tattoo In Rosedale NY
Set up. 1 vivitar 285 for a fill and a 430ex behind her for a hair light. Minor photoshop which I am really tring to perfect. All be posting more as i finish up but getting extra advice for now

retouching, light, throw something out there. Anything you would of changed

It might be better stated that you are looking for critique. I think its too tightly framed, Its sort of claustrophobic with her eyes so close the left edge of the frame. I'd like a little more light under her chin a little but thats a really minor nitpick.

Agree, and the BG is in the way, top of the door frame? Red something? Flare inbehind her?

Also..I am not seeing Vanity.she is looking at YOU, not HER;) Maybe a redo getting her preening in a mirror?

Flo nailed it for vanity IMO. Maybe walking by a mirror and can't resist looking in it. Adjusting her hair. Good luck.

we have the mirror shots this was one I had finished. Ill post the mirror ones tomorrow

I'm bothered a bit by the flare or light reflection or whatever it is that comes in from the right of the image horizontally toward her ear. Otherwise, I'd like the shot in general but, as others have noted, not a particularly good illustration of vanity.
