This guy did a fly past at a fate i went to today, i was to far away from were he banked it over :( got these though :)

Good stuff, great looking airplane, but ss at 1/1000 is way too high. Keep it at 1/250 or lower.

I agree 1000 ss is to high i messed that bit up :( taken with a 300mm f4L IS.
like the angle of your shot better than mine .

Im sure the blue spit is our local Bristol one, owned by Rolls Royce.
See it quite a lot around here, one day i'll get a lens for a good shot of it.

The second one is a griffon powered one with the bulges on the engine cowl, beast of an engine :) Great shots, can't wait till I get the chance to shoot one myself.

A Mk XIX Spitfire fitted with a late model Griffon engine taken from the Avro Shackleton maritme patrol aircraft complete with the Contra rotating props, very rare!!

I have to say that I like the spitfire more than I like the mustang. They are indead great planes and they sound ohh so great.

I went to Warbirds Over Wanaka in 04 and I consider this one of the best photos I had taken. :lol:
