Not really new. This is a normal 20D that is optimized for long exposures for astronomy, i.e. attached to a telescope. Been available in Japan since spring. Not of interest to most people.

This is the new astro photography i remember an article that was back a few months talking about this camera along with the 10d

hmm... I just never saw it on the website before so I thought it was some new model. Got kind of excited and didn't read the info about it :o

Oh yeah. Need that if you want to catch dust lanes, etc... I really wish there were a Rev. A on the 20D. First on my list is the ISO info in the view finder or at least in the top display without pushing a button. I try and push info before I shoot but I sometimes forget and I leave the iso in unexpected places sometimes.
