no..it's because the software failed on it....I just know they'll replace it because it's the same thing that happened on my first one. the replacement is free under the extended service plan. Which costs about the same as shipping..and I've used it twice and the plan covers the shipping in for service.

MattyB

what? it COULD be!

pcasciola
9th of September 2005 (Fri), 15:13
Yep, it's a rocket blower. I thought this one would go for a little while, since it did look spherical because of the shallow DOF.

Nidz
21st of September 2005 (Wed), 18:55
I guess it's a button of some sort. Looks like a rubber. It's attached to something larger and I assume it's a closeup of whatever it is.

zakabog
6th of October 2005 (Thu), 22:03
Nope I didn't even think that this looked like one until you mentioned it and now I see it.

Ronald S. Jr.
6th of October 2005 (Thu), 22:14
well let's dissect this, eh? The foreground is clearly out of focus, which means there's another side closer to us. Why you shot from this side, I'm not sure. Almost looks like a shoelace hole on a shoe. Only thing I can think of off the top of my head that looks like that.

pcasciola
6th of October 2005 (Thu), 22:40
The flap of a briefcase, pocketbook or wallet of some sort?

Ronald S. Jr.
6th of October 2005 (Thu), 22:46
Yeah, I thought about that, but the only way I thought it would work is if it were one of those where you put the flap down over the metal thing that you turn once it's closed. However, I didn't think that plausible since it's circular.

Ronald S. Jr.
6th of October 2005 (Thu), 22:46
I still say it looks like either a shoelace hole or one of the little holes at the top of a rubber boot.

pcasciola
6th of October 2005 (Thu), 22:53
one of the little holes at the top of a rubber boot. That sounds right. You might have it there.

zakabog

Hehe, nope.

Ronald S. Jr.
6th of October 2005 (Thu), 23:01
oo! part of a window frame? (mostly because of what appears to be chipped paint down in the corner) Looks like that little curved handle they put on some windows so you can open it.

RockOne
6th of October 2005 (Thu), 23:03
Top of a clipboard ?

Ronald S. Jr.
6th of October 2005 (Thu), 23:17
IF that's a clipboard, then you should be very ashamed of your clipboard. I never thought of that, since I've actually never once owned a clipboard. I feel like if I type the word clipboard one more time, then that'll be too many times for you all to read the word clipboard.

zakabog

montreal
7th of October 2005 (Fri), 11:05
After googling the clue, I stumbled on these lyrics:

Jenny Jenny who can I turn to,
you give something that I can hold on to,
I know you think that I'm like the others before,
I saw your name and number on the wall.

Jenny I've got your number,
I'm gonna make you mine,
Jenny don't change your number: 8675309
8675309(3x)

Jenny Jenny your the girl for me,
you don't know me but you make me so happy,
I tried to call you before but I lost my nerve,
I tried my imagination but I was disturbed

I got it, I got it, I've got your number on the wall
I got it, I got it, for a good time, good a good time call.

Doesn't really help me guessing what the pic is though...

RAitch
7th of October 2005 (Fri), 21:37

zakabog
7th of October 2005 (Fri), 23:18

Yup, used to be a phone jack there now it's just the wire and the mount for the plate.

Nidz
7th of October 2005 (Fri), 23:38
Ok.. The material it's made out of looks like a heavy lead type metal. It's got distinct worked or manufacured look to it.. Like the flushing you put on the roof of a house. It's a heavy thick sheet of metal. I assume this is to hold something quite heavy in place. It is a mount of some sort.. It once had something screwed into it because you can see wear from the thing that used to screw onto it. There is a bit of paint scratched off. Maybe a nut or something was on there. There is something worn in the foreground which looks to be weathered or worn because the coating is comming off it. I think I can see sand on the metal part. I believe it is low to the ground but not too low as I can see a leaf in the background which suggests it's outside. The other tones of the background object suggest a tree. I think the object if relitavely old. Maybe it's part of the guttering on a roof of a house on which you mount something?
