sorry I was gone so long guys, we had a nasty ice storm in Michigan, 1000's without power (including me) and cable. I have a generator but still had no cable and therefore no Internet. they just got cable back on, expecting power by Sunday if we are lucky, lol. not sure how long it will stay on though so I am just gonna give this one to you guys. and some one else can post up a pic.

ready for this, it a cold medicine tablet inside its blister pack.

Not a problem really, more like an annoyance for me. I feel sorry for the people with no generator to power their furnace, supposed to get down to around zero tonight with 30 mph winds. I did lose a storage shed to a downed tree limb, but no big deal. thanks for your concern though.

Speaking of being gone so long, I finally got a chance to see if I was right about the cpu chip. Yea me!

It wasn't the green reflection that did it. I could tell from the pic that it was one pin in a matrix of pins, and being a techie, that's the first thing I could think of that fit.

Sorry, Macro photography was a major hobby of mine 20 years ago, but I don't have anything to put up! I'll have to dig out some slides... :)

Hey, I'm really REALLY sorry. I havent been home all day (I'm still not, posting using a friends PC) so if someone else wants to post something up feel free too. If nothing has been posted by morning (when i get home to where my camera is) I'll get something up then.

Again, I'm really sorry for slowing things down.

Welll I have to argue that the clue of every computer has one. is extremely misleading. Of the 5 computers I have 2 are bsd boxes which have no gui and no mouse. The laptop I have has a trackpad and if I hook up a mouse it's a wired one. Of the other 2 I have one with a wired mouse and one wireless. Not to mention that the receiver itself is within 2 or 3 feet of the computer not 25-30.

Please don't take the tone as argumentative it's just that a mouse/keyboard should have been close enough.

When someone said mouse i said they were close................. the object was not a mouse

That was a good one, Gav! I like it when you instantly see the small detail on the whole object and recognize that you must have looked at that same detail 1,000 times.

Here's another one - it's another common object found around the home and the office. I have to go out now but will check in again in qbout 3 to 4 hours time.
