It is somewhat similar to asking what is this color. And then requiring exact rgb values to be guessed.

I wouldn't think you would need the exact name of the specific plant( or the Latin Name). I think if you guessed the right family that would be close enough. Were not botonist's here.

I don't recognize the symbol..but it looks like a metal dial to control the setting on something. The ridges would be to keep from slipping while turning it.

edit: maybe it's a dial on the "weather balloon" from new mexico?

Both are macro shots of different parts of the same object. The whole object measures about 12 cm by 5 cm by 1 cm. It is a measuring device - but which one, Earthlings?

jr#8, which gallery were you looking at? Most bird shots were with the 100-400L. For the shots in the "At The Lake" gallery, they were all shot with the 100-400L and most were very close...about 25-75 feet.

Hospital doctor - anaesthetics and intensive care. One of the critical care beds I look after had three different patients in it during my shift - it was chaos!

Frost was close but not close enough, There was a little clue this morning, but I can see that you need one now, I'll tell you the clues are harder then the images I think. I pretty sure every building I saw has one although there not the same. Try that clue for now and I'll check back in a bit.
