BearLeeAlive

Outdoors, good start

DeltaWebb
6th of July 2005 (Wed), 18:34
Is it metal? and is the entire frame the object?

BearLeeAlive
6th of July 2005 (Wed), 18:37
No, and yes

DeltaWebb
6th of July 2005 (Wed), 18:47
so not metal...is it silver painted plastic and is it something you use outdoors or is it just sitting there?

BearLeeAlive
6th of July 2005 (Wed), 18:59
Not metal, not painted, used oudoors, and no, I did not have to chase it to get the picture.;)

BearLeeAlive

DW,
I am not smirking, just a low level giggle......lol

It is not really sporting equipment.

HINT: If you get the material, you just might figure out the object.

Having been messing around in the office while I reply the the quesses with this macro setup. I can tell it will be great, just have to get used to it, especially the fine focusing. The pics seem even sharper that the lens without the tubes. Looks like more wasted time coming up.......lol

BearLeeAlive

It would seem this is tougher than expected, even with all the clues and all. I will post one last slightly enlarged photo. This surely will do it.

Not metal, not painted, used outdoors (not a sporting equipment device)... Maybe made of wood? It looks like wood, but it cant be if it's not painted... What in the mother of crap IS that thing???

Glad to hear that your brother is OK! My stomach turned when I woke up to the news. Thought about all those on POTN who are from the area and prayed all were OK. Things are getting pretty rediculous around the world these days. :(

I'd have to agree! This thread was really fun early on because the people that were posting the pics and the ones guessing were paying close attention. It seems that it has been really slowing down as of late.

You are correct as of late. What I have noticed is there are good days and bad, not just early on was more fun. Remember the "lightening round"?

It would be nice if while one is "up", they pay very close attention to what is going on. People do need to sleep and go to work, things come up. Example, the guy concerned about his family in London.

Most of the time I play this game is just before I am ready for bed. If I was able to get a guess right, I have worried about posting a pic that wouldn't get a guess in the time I would want to retire for the night. In that case, I would make a hint obvious and after a while go to bed.

I propose no more than a couple of hours go before someone else can jump in and post a picture. Not so much that someone's picture has to be forfeited. It should still be able to guess at. But now we need to identify the pictures. #1 or #2 should work. I could see it now, "I believe the picture that looks like dental work in a rotten tooth is really a crack in the handle of an antique tea cup".

What do ya'll think?

Randy

DeltaWebb
9th of July 2005 (Sat), 02:51
I can understand that. The other day I passed up my turn because I was going to go to sleep and would not be able to post clues or responses for about 18 hours and I did not think that would be cool to post a picture and not be able to respond to guesses. That was just me. I don't think that we should bump pictures because the person who posted can't be on here 24/7, but how long do we wait for someone to post a new pic before someone else jumps in? Maybe someone should email Felix to let him know it's his turn? ;)

DeltaWebb
9th of July 2005 (Sat), 05:19

chembro, I love the range but it seems a bit soft, especially wide open. I am starting to get better pics with practice. But to be honest I am thinking of getting a 24-70, either Canon or Sigma and a 10-22 or equivalent. I need wider for interior house pics for work.
