how come its taking so long
It depends on when the poster can come back on and check. There is no set time limit. ;)
Sit back and enjoy, then when Mike comes back on, he will say yay or nay to all the guesses, give hints if needed, or a bigger crop. It's an ongoing process.

Sometimes it takes hours - this game is played all around the world, in different time zones, by people at home and at work - people who need to eat, sleep, hide their browser screens from the boss, go to the bathroom ..... do I really need to go on? :lol:

If you got the right lens it can do super macros.:)
Or buy a relatively inexpensive set of Extension Tubes to use with an existing lens. This is what I do though I do plan on getting an 100mm macro soon too.

It can do a lot more than many of its owners realize - take a look in the various Photo Sharing sections of these forums. Lots of really outstanding images you see there are taken with that camera. So are all of mine! :lol:

I never knew that all your SMGG shots are done with just tubes. Can't wait to see your shots with a true macro lens! :)
I do have the EF Life Size Converter I can throw on too. With just my tubes I get better that 1:1 and with the converter I get nearer 2:1.
