Okay. That's it for me. It's just gone 10pm here. I've had a BIG day. Went to sleep watching the idiot box so my 2IC told me get up and go to bed. And I will. I'll get back on line in about 9 hours to see what has been going on overnight (my time.) Boy, I don't know what your side of the world looks like but there is this unbelievable full moon out there. I kid you not (and I've done it) it's good enough to photograph by. But not for me tonight. I'm outa here. Good night one and all.

This is my second attempt at this reply. First one just sat there with the little widget going around in every diminishing circles, but going nowhere. So, where was I? Oh yeah! I'm home from work. Big deal. Now Dave - you're in the right area but not quite what I need. Need to be more specific. Chris, Jr, TBG and Kiwi - hedging on the right answer but you're all thinking way too BIG. This thing is transportable and useable in quite a number of devices. (There's that word again.) Now, we'll see if this posts.

From what I see of your Police Force in NZ, you're lucky that they acknowledged your report at all. Bit hard to print the outside of a vehicle, as it is a moving object in a public place. Anyone's prints found on the outside could be accidental placements, even if they are around a damaged lock. Trust me, I know!

this is true.. but only a few people have handled some of the gear inside,, if the prints match both outside and inside.. we can normally narrow it down.. but enough worrying about this .. someone find a macro.. :p

FotOz
7th of November 2006 (Tue), 06:12
To expand on that last answer of mine, I'd go so far as to say that it's a beauty cream jar - the sort of over-priced and over-rated junk that women are conned in to buying by young models who have yet to develop a wrinkle that needs any sort or minor attention. Sheesh! Did I get that off my wrinkled chest alright?

Yep something to do with photography. everyone must have used one in the time.
That's really the only clue he has given us. :(
And it's not a film box, CD, photo envelope or a Photshop book.
Is it a camera manual?

How's your chair leg holding out, Mike? :p
Chris said 'in the time' which I take to mean it is an older photography item, that may not be used too much anymore. (by us, e.g. digital photographers)

GM all. Bit slow this morning. (Had a sleep in, didn't I?) Good one on the conditioner bottle, but that damned thing of NZ has me stumped. I've ruled out it being anything Nikonish - the N is followed by a rounded letter - and it's not Photoshop as the word Photo stands alone. No doubt it'll be a surprise to us all.
