BTW: This is a cool idea. Would it make sense to start a new thread when a new pic is posted? It's gonna be hard to follow this in a year when there are 100 gazilling replies in one thread...

Boutty

A device to cut something?

RMc
14th of July 2005 (Thu), 19:54
Nothing to do with a telescope or tripod.

It doesn't cut anything.
It does however, have something to do with something that has been cut.
Don't put much thought in that hint though. It won't help you figure out what it is. That hint only makes sense if you know what it is.

RMc
14th of July 2005 (Thu), 19:59
Here is a pretty good hint.

It may still be useful today for some old diehards, but it is just about obsolete anymore.

RMc
14th of July 2005 (Thu), 21:32
It is an instrument for reproducing sounds by means of the vibration of a stylus or needle following a spiral groove on a revolving disc.

I had about forgotten the term stylus. I had to look it up. I had phonograph needle on my mind.

Boutty was so close. I know they had the right thing in mind, but RockOne was dead-on.

Was it the Abbey Road/Frampton hint that helped you out?

RockOne should be up.

chemicalbro
16th of July 2005 (Sat), 14:23

You totally should split this into 2 threads... that way you can get more action. More pictures to pick from at the same time.

RMc
16th of July 2005 (Sat), 20:03
You are correct as of late. What I have noticed is there are good days and bad, not just early on was more fun. Remember the "lightening round"?

It would be nice if while one is "up", they pay very close attention to what is going on. People do need to sleep and go to work, things come up. Example, the guy concerned about his family in London.

Most of the time I play this game is just before I am ready for bed. If I was able to get a guess right, I have worried about posting a pic that wouldn't get a guess in the time I would want to retire for the night. In that case, I would make a hint obvious and after a while go to bed.

I propose no more than a couple of hours go before someone else can jump in and post a picture. Not so much that someone's picture has to be forfeited. It should still be able to guess at. But now we need to identify the pictures. #1 or #2 should work. I could see it now, "I believe the picture that looks like dental work in a rotten tooth is really a crack in the handle of an antique tea cup".

What do ya'll think?

I thought of brain earlier, but who ever heard of an orange brain?
I never heard of a nerf brain either but I think I've seen one now.

BTW, it looks like the little fibers I was seeing were actually little cracks.

I just can't stand it anymore...Where are you elr? I haven't found anythink like that in my pocket or purse. Maybe it's one of those key covers with a built in squeeze light. Oh well...I'm off to create another web page before this drives me totally nuts. I'll check back later and hopefully the elusive elr will have checked back in and taken pity on us by giving another hint. LOL

Sorry Guys/Gals for keeping you waiting, I had a very busy weekend..... I've been waiting for hours yesterday for someone to post something but everybody's offline. I guess because we're on a different time zone.

Since someone already posted a new pic, here's the answer to mine.

It's the camera face of my Sony-Ericsson K700i......

Hmmm...if it isn't a car key which most would carry in pocket or purse...is it perhaps a car ignition to put the key in? This is very good...got me stumped. Another hint please.

LOL...
