Whoa! I thought we were still trying to guess Jim7226's non-wearable non-metallic object which ahs nothing to do with photography or guns... You have to take your turn, JoesLdy!

Anyway, back to Jim's object. To me that looks like some sort of rubberized non-stick coating. The quick-release plate on my tripod looks like that, but we know this isn't photography-related. How about a pedal (accelerator, brake, etc.) in a car?

Jim7226
5th of January 2007 (Fri), 10:12
How about a pedal (accelerator, brake, etc.) in a car?

Nice try...but this item has nothing to do with automotive parts. In fact, this object tends to work better when it is cold rather than warm. With that said...you are more apt to see this object used in the winter rather than in the summer. The object is used primarilly for fun and not for work.

part of the binding on a snow board? Good try...but that is not it. In the stores you can purchase this item very inexpensively...usually for just pocket change. Also, the surface you are seeing is a non-removeable aspect of the object. In other words, this is a one-piece object that is not a part of anything else.
