I had been looking for the name of the dip/spread. It must be not known worldwide though.I know they know of GUACAMOLE all across Canada and in Mexico, as well as some folk I know in New Jersey....
I definately know what guacamole is, I was just making a broader guess, in case it was a variation of guacamole and you were feeling picky. ;)

this kid is quick!!! Here is the overall shot of the object, a phone speaker. That was way too easy! Funny until I took that photo i never knew my phone had some red stuff on the speaker. :)
LOL Just noticed, you can see the cord to my desk phone in the photo. I was on the phone with a customer while I was taking this photo. hehehe

Jim, I do a lots of DIY. I've taken apart lots of thing and put them back together. But you are spot on. I haven't done any mechanical work on my vehicles(yet). It's still too new.

Or anyone who played with electronics 30 or more years ago. Unfortunately I am old enough that I recognized it right away but did not have anything ready, nor the time right away to shoot something.
I was surprised it lasted that long, great job!!!!

Unfortunately my experiences with tubes go back to when our TV would go on the fritz. My dad would open it up from the back and we'd take all the tubes out and haul them down to the drug store to test them one by one on the big machine that looked sorta like a primative video game.
Anyways...
I don't have decent shot ready so I'll pass my turn to anyone with a macro relating to a stringed instrument or a pre-transistor electronical gizmo, or doodad.

LOL, too funny. I have the same memories. The tube tester at the electronics store had all the different sockets for various types of tubes to be tested. Unfortunately my memories go back that far too.
