sigma 150 macro and Canon MT-24EX

hey,
I'm not sure I have to post this here or in the flash-forum, so don't shoot me if i'm wrong ;)

I'm looking for a macro lens, and I found some very good reviews on the sigma 150 F2.8 APO macro DG EX HSM.
But does the canon MT-24EX macro flash fit on that lens??


BTW, are there people here that have that lens, and maybe can show me some sample pics?

Got the Sigma 150 this week and have done a few test shots and posted a couple on here...

Compatable Lenses:
EF 50mm f/2.5 Compact Macro, EF 100mm f/2.8 Macro USM, EF 100 f/2.8 Macro* and MP-E 65mm f/2.8 1-5x

These are 52mm & 58mm diameter lenses, the Sigma 150 is 72mm so it possibly will not.

Sigma do their own macro flash the EM-140 DG (which appears similar to Canons MR-14EX.) and they also do adapter rings for it to fit 52,55,58,62,67,72 & 77mm lenses.

The Sigma flash is also considerably cheaper than the Canon ones - £50 and £210 respectively.

I think this means that it will work. This is the description of Canon Part "Macrolite Adapter 72C"


"Macrolite adapter; to attach the ML-3, MR-14EX or MT-24EX flashes to most lenses with this 72 mm filter size. "
