Here are some pics I grabbed at the Fun Ford Weekend event yesterday in Richmond, VA. All shots are with a 10D and 70-200 2.8 non-IS.

Very nice panning shots, and I really like the colours on the blue one.

I love Mustangs, but normally not really that model generation Mustang. We had a 67 Fastback, and I still love that one. The new one is very nice, as well.

Were there any other Mustangs at the event?

Best regards,
Andy

Thanks Andy. There were tons of Mustangs there, ranging throughout the years. I have a few of some mid-late 60s cars, but they were poorly OOF. Here is one that you should enjoy... It's a '65 with the 289ci and 5-speed.

Nice shots. Uhhhh the info feels wrong. Either the speed of the car is too high or the shutter is too low. Im bored...lets see
149 miles per hour = 2.5 miles per minute = 13200 ft per minute = 220 ft per second

exposure was 1/60. That would have meant you should of had around 3.6 ft of blur.

WAIT A MINUTE. I SEE. YOU WERE IN A MOVING CAR PARRALEL. WOW. i get it. nvm. Why would you take a picture while racing. Either 1, your not looking at the road, or 2, your adding extra person/weight to the car

Madmike,

thanks for sharing the 60's mustang :D
Did 2005 models also participate?
I would guess that Ford would use that event to show them off...

Best regards,
Andy

Rich, the frame was taken at about half-track where the car was going somewhere around 100-110mph. It wasn't doing the 149mph at the point of the capture.

Felix, the items hanging off the back of the cars are parachutes. They are required when the cars exceed 150mph in the quarter mile to help slow them down past the finish line.

Andy, yes there were a few 2005 models. One of them had a previous year powerplant that was running in the mid-9 second range. I love the new 2005s.
