Well.. here is a post to another of my favorite themes...
A nice bright smile from one of our locals at the town fest...
I burned about 200 pics this night.. but I keep coming back to this one as my favorite.
Tell me what you think...

Love the colors and the spontaneous happy face :):)

Thank you.
I also like the colors... and as for the 'spontaneous' part... you read that I took about 200 pics this evening... well, about 60 of them were of her dancing group, and I think she may have noticed me taking all the other pics. :D
(btw. I like your life's motto...)

Great shot Lee!
Her smile's as bright as the colors! I like it!
Wish her eyes were open a little more though.

I can see why you keep coming back to it. It is a very nice smile. There is nothing wrong with your judgement. Nice shot!

Thanks.. yes.. very nice and bright smile!!
I think her eyes were squinted like this because it was almost totally dark when we bumped into each other after the show, and the 300D let off a quick burst of flashes to get the autofocus right. A strobe like that would make anyone squint.
(good focus though...)

Yes, it was Lee!!
Would rather have a 'sharp' squint than a blurred 'wide eye' shot that's for sure!!

Read some stuff on photo processing...
- Henry Low's Glow Portfolio... http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=81719
... and tried out some of his instructions. (never really did much digital post processing of my images)
Comments compared to the first image??

Lee, I'm a "glow junkie"! I swear I do it to just about ALL my pictures! Some I keep, some I don't.
But I like your glow version. The reds just look much more pleasing to the eye.

After sleeping on the thought... and coming back here... the Glow Version of this picture just knocks me out. The first version (which had a similar effect on me before...) looks just like an ordinary snapshot now.
It looks like I have a lot of glow-processing to do now...
(and no worry about giving away secrets of the trade...)
Thanks both for the comments.. and espcially the glow stuff, Henry.
